BELTON CHRISTIAN YOUTH CENTER RECEIVES GRANT FROM
E. RHODES AND LEONA B. CARPENTER FOUNDATION

Belton, TX (AUGUST 6, 2024) – Belton Christian Youth Center recently received a $95,000 grant from the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation. The grant will be used to enhance building security, upgrade facility features, upgrade transportation and restore facility wear and tear. None of the funds will be used for the general budget and operations.
These facility and transportation projects will add additional key-fob security doors, provide for new and upgraded transportation through two “new-to-us” buses, playground upgrades and enhancements, secure on-site storage containers as well as fresh coats of paint throughout our entire facility. These upgrades and enhancements will allow BCYC to focus on the mission of providing affordable care to the youth in our community while providing them introductions to and examples of Christ.

The E. Rhoads and Leona B. Carpenter foundation has been a great partner of BCYC, and we are grateful for their continued support in our organization and its mission. We look forward to using these funds to take care of our facilities so we can continue to take care of the precious kids we serve daily.

About E. Rhoads and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation
E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation was formed in 1975 as E. Rhodes Carpenter Foundation by E. Rhodes Carpenter, founder of the Richmond, Virginia based company now known as Carpenter Co. During Mr. Carpenter’s lifetime, the Foundation made a few substantial gifts but for the most part had minimal assets. In accordance with Mr. Carpenter’s wishes, the Foundation received significant funding following his death in 1980. His wife, Leona B. Carpenter, died a year later leaving substantial assets to the Foundation. In 1982, the name of the Foundation was changed to E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation.
