Community Involvement

Belton and the surrounding area have been very generous to the Belton Christian Youth Center. In 1999, after several years of fundraising, the community was able to use the gifts and funds to build the current BCYC building. This 18,000 square foot building now provides a safe, fun place for students to come after-school and in the summer. Because the community continues to grow, BCYC is now working to provide an additional facility for students. Again, the community at large has given over $600,000 in cash and pledges.  Another $75,000 of in-kind gifts have been given to help with this project!

BCYC partners with many local agencies to provide a variety of programs throughout the year. Groups taking part have been: Juvenile Probation, Department of Agriculture, First Baptist Church, Belton Church of Christ, BISD, Safe Place, Clown Ministry, Council on Drug and Alcohol Prevention and others. If you know of a group that many benefit the children served at BCYC, please contact the Administrative Office.

BCYC also is dependent on community businesses to assist in sponsoring athletic teams. If your business could help with such, please see the Recreation Coordinator for more information.
